Howto auto create tables and fields.

I would like to be able to create a
database table and search fields for
that table on the fly.

EXAMPLE: I create a table referenced as
a catagory called "animals". Now I want
to create fields for search criteria.
Such as, food, location, name, etc., plus
a hidden field for a picture.

The idea is that if you were using my
script you would be able to catalog
pictures and add comments for indexing.
The script would automatically create a
link in the menu for the catagory, and
would create a drop down box for each
search criteria.

I am new to PHP and have not been able
to find a script or tutorial the explains
how this would be done.

Start with reading the manuals and you'll soon understand.

I understand that the manuals are the best way to learn providing you have some previous knowledge of the subject. I am starting fresh and need some help on this subject. I almost no experience with online databases and very little php. Mostly just inserting html and graphics. The manuals seem way to generic for me to really understand everything.

I understand your urgency, and yes sometimes the manuals aren't the best way to learn. But never leave your PHP/MySQL manuals alone, sleep with them under your pillow!

Don't think you'll be able to dive feet first into this and get the project done; you won't. You will crash and burn. Allow yourself the time to learn, or if time is short, do it in a langauge you already know.

Once you allocated time, go through the PHP articles here at PHPBuilder and at Devshed (www.devshed.com). They are the best way to learn.

Although we'd all love to be able to help you step by step through your learning process, it's just not a viable option.

If you get stuck along the way, and neither the tutorial you are using, nor the manual helps, then come back here and post a message.
