Database Controlled Windows Login?

Has anyone ever seen a MySQL database (Running on a Windows 98 Computer) used as a way to controll who logins into a Windows 98 computer? Meaning a person would type in there 'ID' a dialog box at the computers startup and if they were entered into the database they would be able to login to the system. When they were finished they would hit a "log off" button.

Anybody got any ideas??

Windows 98 or 2000's login system can use
MSsql to control, so I think have some methods can instead of MSsql.
