ODBC Example

Hi
I'm new in PHP.
While reading the PHP manual Im trying the examples.
PHP is running in IIS 5.
But cant do the ODBC connection. I get "parse error".
Can anybody send me full sybtax of the PHP ODBC Connection under IIS5
