phpMyAdmin problem in windows

Hi all... I'm facing a problem with phpMyAdmin that I didn't see anywhere...

I reinstalled all my computer again and I used phpMyAdmin in Win98... but I updated everything... now I use MySQL 3.23.33, PHP 4.0.4pl1, and the problems are the following:

Everything begins ok running on localhost, it shows all databases on Mysql... but:

1 - when I try to create a new database, I get the following error: MySQL said: You have an error in your SQL syntax near '' at line 1...

2 - When I select a database, it doesn't show me its tables, and I get the following error: "No tables found in database"

3 - When I select a table of a database, I get the following error: MySQL said: No Database Selected

I don't understand, once it shows the databases available... I haven't tested it on a linux yet... but it worked fine on win98.

I forgot to write the version of phpMyAdmin... I used the old and the new version of it...

Hi there,

I am currently an ASP programmer but now I am looking for a solution that run phpmyadmin on my windows98 PC. i am not very sure about the component i need to install and run phpmyadmin.
The situation is i need to connect to a mySQL server located on a remote server which i dunno their configuration. i just have the IP address, login and password. So that i can do the tranfer of data from mySQL database to MS-SQL database.
Basically can i am running personal Web Server on my PC, what else do i need to complete the abovementioned task? and where can i get it ?
