Has anybody tried getting this to work?
Can php talk directly or does it have to via odbc somehow(the Universe odbc not linux support)

Funny you ask this, as I just did a search for this yesterday. The link below describes how to link to a UniData database with php. I believe it should work with Universe as well.

We are trying to access a UniVerse DB over the wire. I got to this thread with google. The question is: Did you ever get this to work with ODBC, and if so, would you be so kind as to tell me how.

We too are trying to crack the Universe Db problem. Is it true uniVerse has been taken over by another company, and support is no longer available???
If you've heard anything please let me know aswell, and vise-versa.
