PHP on OmniHTTPd Professional in Win95 help

I've been trying to install PHP on my system for almost a week now!

I downloaded the latest Win32 relaese of PHP4, extracted all the .dll's to my C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory, renamed php.ini-dist to php.ini and copied it over to my C:\WINDOWS directory, then I installed Omni and pointed all the MIME types and such to the correct PHP files, but when I try opening a .php file in my browser, no php code gets rendered?!?! Any ideas on whats wrong?

I am having the same problem with Apache, the server is running but no code is being acted upon. Anybody?????

Did you also make sure the.php and .php3 files all point to C:\httpd\php\php.exe in your global properties, under the external tab. Your MIME files also should point to wwwserver/stdcgi

Yes, I have checked many times that they were pointed to the correct exe file and such. I'm still clueless as to what is wrong. Any more helpful suggestions?

I had the same problem when I downloaded php4. I looked a little closer at omnihttp, and to my surprise it came with php4. All I had to do was point to the php.exe file in the httpd folder and it worked fine.

Hi,

May be i can help. I downloaded my new copy of php4. put it in a directory names php4 under httpd directory of omniHTTPd.
Then renamed my old php dir under httpd dir to php_3 then rename php4 did to php. Leaving all my associations as original in my omniHTTPd.

Also, since i made this mistake so often thought i would mention it here. After i make my changes in my php source file i try to open it directly from the browser u know how u open a html file just like that. Then i realized i should basically call it as http://localhost/myphp.php.

It works just fine.
