php doesnt work, not sure what I've missed

I think the best way to describe this is through a screen capture I took.....

from what I understand, a php file coming up as code normally means that Apache doesn't recognise it as a php file, but I think I referred it properly (see srm.conf in GIF image).. the path i put in matches the folder where php4 is located (middle window on screen cap).

I'm thinking it may be a typo or something.

BTW I'm on windows 98.
