PHP4 install....

I struggled for 6 months to get PHP3 on the machine and couldn't. Even tried the regedit things, and the folders it wanted me to go to don't exist on my machine. So I was real pleased to see php4 seems to have an auto reg update. I've checked the (few) sites for its install and they want things such as cygwin-b20\full.exe from the cygwin site. I can't find it, they want things compiled with MS Visual C++, I ain't got it. Any help would be much appreciated, and please keep it real simple, I got Basic (Q and Asic) HTML, v.small Javascript...

Try thickbook.com, I had many of the same problems and did not want to touch reg edit.

I successfully installed apache, php4 on a temporary server in less than 45 minutes using the step by step guide on thick book.

we use IIS3 and want to get it working there.

I use cold fusion- and want to start making websites in PHP

If you're looking for Apache/PHP/MySQL on Windows, you could just install PHPTriad. It installs the whole works in under 5 minutes. It's free and I don't make a dime from it.

Thanks, tho you're speaking to the only (probably) guy who can follow a step by step Java (2, SDK) install and still get a cannot read error 🙂 Thanks, I'll give it a shot.
