PHP & Oracle 8 & 8i

Hi...
i wonder if any one out there know how to enable php with Oracle 8x support without installing Oracle 8x in the same machine as Apache and PHP reside.....

and the same question for MySQL reside in the different server from the apache and php server

You haven't said if you're using Unix or Windows as your PHP server platform. If you're using Unix, then you will need the Oracle client libraries on the PHP server. You will also need to compile in Oracle support when you build PHP.

If you're using Windows as your PHP server platform, then you will just need the Oracle DLL's.
