command line php

I am working on a machine that has php4 installed as an apache module, but im desperate to run some stuff as a cron job using php in the command line does anyone know if any of these are possible:

1. Install php4 as a dynamic module as well as using the apache module. (i seem to remember someone warning me against this some time back)

2. Install php3 as a dynamic module and use it.

3. running something like :
   lynx http://localhost/test.php, ive tried this but im getting errors cos of some screen stuff.

Any help would be gretly appreciated

Try: lynx -dump http://etc....

I get this mailed back to me:

"Your terminal lacks the ability to clear the screen or position the cursor."

Check out the lynx options with >lynx --help, but you could also try: lynx -source http://... Also take a look at the -term option.

FYI

I was using lynx that came with Redhat 6.2, lynx version 2.8.3pre1 which did not support -dump (or SSL)

So i downgraded (the upgrade wouldnt compile)

I wanna do exactly the same thing and am getting the same error. Did you solve the:

that set the env TERM:
TERM=vt100 lynx [your options here]

The problem turned out to be the version of lynx i used (in the quote you sent me they are using bash scripts to invoke lynx -dump which WONT work on the version shipped with redhat 6.2 either..

Trying to simulate a terminal didnt work either with that version as far as i can remember.

I'm trying to run a lynx command in a perl file. Its working absolutely fine when i run in general. But its the giving the Same error

"Your terminal lacks the ability to clear the screen or position the cursor."

when i run through CronJob.

Can anyone tell me how can i go about rectifying the error..?
