Upgrading

I've already installed PHP 4.0.1pl2 with my Apache server.

But, a day later the 4.0.2 was release, so I proceeded to download it and install it. I used the --with-apxs option, did a make and then a make install.. And after did a shutdown and a startup of the server.

But, when I got to do a test using <?phpinfo()?> it still comes back as 4.0.1pl2..

Is there anyways to know if 4.0.2 was install correctly or not??

If you use apache you might want to shutdown apache before you "make install" or the files may be locked and make install can't update them.

Did you re-compile apache too?

Now, how do you recompile Apache with it already installed and running??

You stop it before you re-compile/install
