How to install mySQL in Sun Solaris2.7

These days I wanted to install mySQL in the
Sun Solaris Ultra 10 Workstation, whose OS
is Solaris2.7. The steps before configuration
was right, but the configuration faild, and
it seen that the configure script do nothing!
It's said that make files were not created!
Why? Do somebody help me?

You shouldn't have a problem as long as you use GNU's version of tar to uncompress the volume, as the Solaris's version does not support long file names.

You can get this from the mysql website. If this is not the problem posting the tailing error messages received when trying to configure the program would provide more help.

I've recently just perform the same installation on a Ultra 10s, and apart from the above problem there were no other concerns.
