CGI Error on IIS 5.0

i installed php3 on windows 2000 IIS-5 server, everything i have done as per readme.txt which is distributed with downloaded package. but when i run the .php page it is giving an error saying that "CGI Error"

if anybody knows this problem please let me know how to solve this problem....

ensure before restarting the IIS server, php3.ini should be present in %windows% directory.

also specify the extension of all those .dll files.
