PHP+mySQL error

I have got this output:

Fatal error: Call to unsupported or undefined function mysql_connect() in /net/http/wwwroot/mysql/insert_link.php3 on line 8

When I try to connect to the database...

I need to include a file in the PHP program, but HOWTO! Can anybody help me??

If you need to include a file, then why are you calling a MySQL function?

I\'ve got the same output whem I tried to use mysql_connect. If you solve the problem, please, let me know.
About to include files, try to use include() and require() functions.
