MYSQL problem

Hi, friends,
I'm having sme problems with my server. I have installed PHP with mysql (option --with-mysql). My prblem is that when I try
to use mysql_connect, PHP show the message "Unsuported or Undefined Function". Does somebody have any idea to solve this
problem.
Sorry for my bad english language. I'm not exactly Shakespeare.

1> If you are using PHP3 then uncomment (no semicolen) the phrase which points to PHP_MySQL.DLL file to be used... (sorry, donno the exact statement there.)
2> If its PHP4 that you'r using, then let that phrase be commented, coz MySQL support is already present.

If it does'nt help, let us know here, in PHPBuilder.

Hi, JoJo,
A realy appreciate your help, but I'm working at Linux (sorry, I was not very clear in this aspect). I think that the PHP_MySQL.DLL stuff is for Windows servers...
Anyway... I intend to keep trying. Maybe I'll reinstall all that stuff (includin operating system)...
