PHP3+Mysql+RH6.2 instalation problems

Hi.

I installed a redhat with mysql 3.22.32 and php3.0.15, but with this rpm instalation, i can't call mysql from php. I uncomment the lines on apache that Activate Module mysql.so etc, but the system can't locate mysql.so.

What can I do?

you do not need apache to talk with mysql.
are you able to connect to the mysql server through the command line ?
usually if you are logged in as root

/usr/local/mysql/bin/./mysql -u root -p

should be the command. try to see if u can connect to the databse
