Help with Configuring Apache and PHP!

Hello,

I'm trying to gonfigure the httpd file, there are two of the.. httpd.conf-dist, and httpd.conf-dist-win, which one is the one I need to do the changes? Now nest question, it says on the webpage to edit line "239", well, first what text editor should I be using? I'm using NotePad but I have no clue where line 239. How do I go about doing any of this editing? Thanks!

When asking questions about installing apache, remember that it's native environment is unix, so if you're problem is windows specific, it's a good idea to say so on this site, since most of the folks tend to use unix, and you'll often get a confusing, strange answer that makes no sense with windows if people don't know what you're running.

Also, tell versions, or that you're running the latest version.

Thanks, I'll remember that sorry. Well it's good once I find the tutorial but it's not up and running because I can't find the tutorial he was talking about. I'm hoping to get it up and running so I can start learning the scripts soon. Thanks for all your help.
