PHP with PDFLib

Has anyone else here had trouble with compiling PDF support into PHP with pdflib? I get pdflib compiled just fine and all, but when I try to do --with-pdflib it doesn't work. I've also tried giving it the path to the directory....is there just something I'm missing?

I'm having a similar problem. Originally, pdflib wasn't making the libraries as it said it was (or so it seemed) so I compiled and installed the latest libtiff and jpeg I could find, and tried again. This time I got the pdflib libraries to install, but when I go and try compiling PHP I get errors. It claims that I need pdflib 3.x. I've installed 3.02, so that's not the problem. It also said (if I don't specify the dir) that I may need libtiff and jpg as well, when I supply PHP with the dirs to these libs, it fails to find them, and still fails. Any suggestions?

that's exactly what it says for me too. and i have just gotten all of the newest libtiff and jpeg too...
can anyone help us poor souls? 😃

Heh Amazing what happens when I rtfm, when I installed the jpeg stuff it didn't install the lib, i did a 'make install-lib' and then the compile of PHP went fine.

well, i tried that, i got the newest of all of them (again) and recompiled them all and even recompiled pdflib, but to no avail. it still give that error saying that it needs pdflib to be installed, or libtiff or libjpeg...

any other ideas?
