More IMAP

I want to compile and install PHP with IMAP on WinNT server.

I need a detailed step by step instruction
or what the heck !! ....... give me anything you got

I just posted there how i managed to get my version working (I did not compile my version though, just used the binary version)

Hi Sean,

Can you tell me where I can download the version of PHP that comes with the imap Dll
Coz mine did not.
Also if can just get the required dlls and copy them into the required directories, will they work ?

Can you send me those files via email at
<[e-mail]> and also in which directories these files will have to be installed.

In my php.ini file there is an entry for
a file [php_imap4r2.dll] against the word ;extension so will I need the php_imap.dll or the php_imap4r2.dll file

Okay, your PHP.ini file is saying that you are using an old version of PHP (that whole imap_php4r2.dll thing).

If that is the version you are using, I don't believe the DLL's shipped with it (I may be mistaken, but I had that problem too).

You should go and grab the newest version (4pl1) and this will have the files you need

Also, make sure that you make a copy of your PHP.ini file and compare the new INI file to your old one.
