I will be greatly indebted to anyome who can offer some assistance..I have succesfully installed and configured MySQL PHP and Apache over a dozen times on several systems. However, this time I'm getting an error during the make portion or the Apache error. The problem occurs within a library file within /usr/local/mysql/lib/libmysqlclient.a file. The error states that there is an undefined function called 'compress' and is unable to call it. PHP - MySQL compiles properly...And I have reinstalled Linux several times as well....Please help..... Thanks
