I don't know if i'm asking the impossible, but I thought it worth a try.
I run a number of NT servers for an ISP that have 200+ web clients
per machine. We "support" php4 but only as a vanilla install.
Often we are asked to add-this or change-that in the php.ini file, but we don't
in most cases, as all clients would be affected, not just those wanting the change.. Is there some way to define a different location for the php.ini file
then the default %systemroot% or in the php dir..??
We have achieved this quite happily on out Unix hosting, using chrooted environments, but I just can't figgure out how to achieve this on NT.
Even if this is something that can be done by compiling our own binary, I am happy to explore that path, given a push in the right direction.
