disappearing daemon (php with oracle)

Hi all:

Managed to get php module to compile with support for Oracle 8.1.6 .

When I start apache, get a positive message stating that apache started.,but in fact i get a core dump (of httpd).

Is there any useful information in the core file that can help me debug why apache bailed out?

Excellent - you put me on the trail of the culprit - relinked apache by adding -lpthread as the LIB env variable

Recompiled apache,php and everything worked out. (also setup the environment variables for Oracle as you recommended)
