PHP4 install problem

Installing PHP4.0.3 on Solaris 2.6 with Apache 1.3.9 and I run into this:

Any suggestions?? Any help would be appreciated.

Looks like you were trying to do a make install. Right before the errors occurred the installation printed the message permission denied. Most likely you don't have permission to install php on this box. To install you have to run "make install" as root or a privileged user.

I ran into this same problem...I removed the
first two lines from the file:

ext/standard/url_scanner_ex.c

/ Generated by re2c 0.5 on Wed Oct 4 20:04:55 2000 /
#line 1 "/home/sas/src/php4/ext/standard/url_scanner_ex.re"

That seemed to work fine for me, if anyone knows a better solution I would be very interested to know.

Did you do the install as root or other priveliged user? Is there anyway to install PHP as just a regular user account?
