Please HELP: Freebsd+Apache + PHP4

I installed the Apache in the FreeBsd and later I installed mod_php4 using ports therefore I have that to qualify php to have access Microsoft SQL Server7. But in the end of the installs,the following error occurs:
Syntax error on line 221 of /usr/local/etc/apache/httpd.conf:
Cannot load /usr/local/libexec/apache/libphp4.so into server: /usr/local/libexec
/apache/libphp4.so: Undefined symbol "DBSETLCHARSET"
/usr/local/sbin/apachectl start: httpd could not be started

How I can correct this error?

Did you compile your own PHP module or did you just try and use a pre-compiled one?

Sounds like the php module cannot find something when it is loading. You might want to try and compile it yourself.

I am not a BSD dude, but I do run Apache with PHP on a Linux server.
