Prompted for password when accessing PHP

Hi all. I'm sure this is a real newbie question so pls. be patient. I've installed PHP 4.0.4 on IIS 5.0 as a CGI app and receive a password prompt when first connecting to a PHP page. I don't think I've messed up the security at all, any idea what is causing the prompt? (Everything works fine when I enter the admin id and PW).

Maybe the file you're trying to parse does'nt have the proper permissions for the I_USR_MACHINE-NAME account or whatever you're using in IIS?
