How and where to install phpMyadmin.

Hi,
I'm new at php, knowalomost nothing about it. I have Mysql at my server and I've my own cgi bin. I want to use a few php3 programs, I don't know how to start mysql, where to isntall the files how to install them and how to run them. I mean I need this info in simple words. Can any one help me please!!!

phpMyAdmin is a completely php solution, so it doesn't need to be installed in a specific location, except that it needs to be accessible from the web, so it has to be somewhere under your document root.
