PDFlib support

Hi!

WOW - I'm going insane!

I'm trying to install PDFlib 3, php and apache. So far I have read tons of readme files, all the guides I could find. And yes I have read the other topics I could find here.

It simply still wont work. I have tried to compiling this like 20 times, all in diferent setups. Still nothing. PHP/MySQL/Apache all work fine, no problems there, but as soon as I try to make a call to a function in the PDFlib I get this error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: pdf_open() in /www/htdocs/test.php on line 2

Please if anyone has an idea, help me ;-)

When you configure pdflib, you have to explicitly tell it to make shared libs, by giving it the '--enable-shared-pdflib' switch when configuring, then run make clean, and make, and make install. then the --with-pdflib switch should work under php's configure script.

You may need to run ldconfig once before you can get apache/php et. al. to come up.
