I tried install oracle8 personal edition in my PC.
Before installing this program, I deleted oracle7 personal edition. After installing oracle8, I used user id as scott, password as tiger to log on system, the error message pumped up:" ora: 205. can not mount
database." I tried re-installing, at this time system showed: this program has performed an illegal operation. I can not find uninstallation program which I can remove the old edition before I re-install. and how I can re-install oracle 8 personal edition even if I got this message which is " .... illegal operation..."
