Win2k or Linux

Hi, I have a copy of both Win2k and Linux, but i don't know what to use. I am programming in PHP and MySQL and have not been able to install either one on my Win2k system. So i was thinking about going to Linux and trying it with that. does anyone have any suggestions? thanks

Go with Linux. It's a relatively easy install and apache runs much better.

If you have an absolute choice use Linux. I believe that it is faster and stabler than Windows in general (although Win 2000 is pretty stable!). I'm running it on Win ME right now with minimal problems, for my needs it is fine. I'm using Windows because I need the ability to play games and stuff like that and switching between OSes on the same machine is just a pain!

If you know how to manage Linux I would recommend using it. From a support stand point I would use L.A.M.P
These technologies where designed for Internet/Intranet servers and you don't NEED a high-end server.

You will have less choice if you choose winnt.
