Success installing pgsql on Win?

Hey,

I'm looking for a friendly mind, who can and will help me to install postgresql on Win(ME).

I have some problems...
I'd downloaded pgsql for windows-nt, but i get an error when i try to start postgres.exe (or any other .exe fil in the directory)

The error message tells me something like "PostGreSQL doesn't know where to look for databases"...

Try running an initdb and see if that creates the databases. But I'm not sure postgresql will run on ME or anything before it. I think NT and/or Win2k are required.

I am also trying to get Postgres to work on NT. If you are successful please inform me how.

I'm sorry that i am so slow - but how du i run the initdb ?

I am reinstalling cygwin on my system. I will give it a try again after that.

I have made some progress with Postgres 6.53 on Linux. And I will apply my findings to the Windows version afterwards
