I have same problem with RH7.0 y Apache 1.3.22.

Same thing for me!!! I can't find anything about this on the web! But if you install Apache with the RPM, there's no problem!?!

same problem here with my

apache 1.3.22
slackware 8.0 (kernel 2.2.19)
HP Netserver LH3000 U3

i have the same configuration (at least i think so) on a non-netserver-box (slackware 8 / 2.2.19 / apache 1322) and it works perfectly... i don't get this...

I am now looking for the link that has the problem fixed apparently it has something to do with the module loading.

Yup. Here too.
I was running under linux2.2 kernel with various modules. I've switched the whole lot
off an recompiled with just s tripped out apache source.

It still does this.

I've also asked apache.org what they think and they've not had the decency to reply.

I'd be grateful if ANYONE could sugest a fix.
