apache problems

I run Apache 1.3 on a Sun Solaris Server (2.8). A coworker (who is out of town) installed the php4 module on the machine.

I made minor changed to the apache httpd.conf file. I stopped apache with "apachectl -stop". When I enter "apachectl -start" I get the following message:

"Cannot load ../libexec/libphp4.so into server: ld.so.1"

I verifed the existence of and path to libphp4.so.

Apache won't restart, any ideas?

It could be the ../ at the front of the libphp4.so. Try changing the path to something absolute like /opt/apache/libexec/libphp4.so
