I installed Apache to test out my web site, mostly PHP based, before uploading it. I follow the instructions in install.txt, but it doesn't recognize the PHP.

If someone could either write better instructions, or just send me the config files, I'd be most appreciative.

Are you testing it localy? If so I would suggest using PHPTriad to install php/apache/mysql. It has served me well. It configures apache to recognize php. You may need to tweek you php.ini and your apache config file. It installs via a simple executable file so you don't have to worry about what directory you put stuff in.
