Installing PHP4 from rpm

Hello all,
Just installed the RPM package of php as well as mysql onto my redhat 7 box. Only thing now is what do i have to do to get it working??? Everytime I try and test it with a php message board installed the page only shows "You are not running PHP - Please contact your system administrator"

Any ideas..

Hi ,
your server is apache?
i thing you must use tar.gz package for php4
and read installation instructions at ;
http://www.devshed.com/Server_Side/PHP/
