SMTP server install

I am trying to get my smtp server to run properly on my win95 system..... while I did not have any trouble during the install, I am getting an error when I use the mail command in my php script... It says
"Warning: server error ..." on the page.

My smtp server says "smtp relay attemp refused".

I am using a dialup connection to the internet and while connected to the net in such a way I want to be able to send mails from my script.
Can this be done ?
What do I need to give for my IP in settings as I don't know what it will each time I connect to the net?

I am using the MercuryS smtp server on win95

i am using "inframail" mail server at win98 and recommend it. Running noproblem on win98
try it ...
