need help reinstalling php

I installed php4 but wanted to reinstall it with two new options to configure. Everything goes fine, i see a new timestamp on my apache/libexec/libphp4.so file, but when i issue phpinfo(), it shows the OLD configure command. in the php src directory, config.status shows the new current one.

What can I do to fix this?

I figured it out.

I removed config_vars.mk which had the old config line in it then everything worked.

Make sure you do

SHELL> make clean

before you do

SHELL> make. This cleans out the objects which were previously compiled.
