Hello, People that know more than me,
So, I decided to fool with the mcal_* functions so I can make my own groovy calendars and such, only PHP complains that it doesn't recognize the mcal functions.
So, I assume that my particular instance of PHP(which came right off a redhat 7 cd) wasn't compiled with the MCAL libs, so I dl'd them and compiled them. I apparently have no source for PHP to do a ./configure --with-mcal... stuff, so I dl'd the PHP thing and compiled it with mcal and mysql, but apxs isn't on my system (what is that? an apache thing?)
Anyways, at this point, I was hoping it was going to work, but it didn't. The functions still aren't recognized, even after restarting apache. Do I, as I suspect, have to download apache source and re-compile it to get the latest version of PHP(with mcal), since maybe apache is statically linked, and not picking up the new PHP libs?
Jeez, it's 4:45 am, and I'm really not even thinking straight.
Thanks for the info,
Mark (the underpaid and blurry-eyed)
