Install problems...

I`m very new to this, and just want to get started asap. A forum is always a good place to get help. =)
In a magazine I bought they talked about Easywindows, a PHP installer. I dl:ed it and installed it. Then I was suppose to surf to
http://localhost/scripts/php/test.php

If everything was ok, I was to see information about my PHP-installation.
This was what I saw
"Warning: Failed opening 'c:\inetpub\scripts\php\test.php' for inclusion (include_path='') in Unknown on line 0"

Anyone have any idea whats wrong? Im running win2k btw, if that is of importance.

It seems that there is a php include in the test.php page script that is not mapped correctly. The good news is if you get such an error your server and php are probably working correctly.

Create a new file in your favorite edit program. And copy/paste the following.

<?
phpinfo();
?>

Save this file as phpinfo.php under directory scripts/php/ .

Then try http://localhost/scripts/php/phpinfo.php

Ok.
I just tried that.
I had no scripts folder in my php folder, so I searched for it and found it located at c:\inetpub\scripts
But there was no php folder there, I created one and made that file. Worked wonders!

So I guess that`s were it was suppose to go?

What I now wonder is, was the test.php suppose to be in that folder as well?

That worked for me, EXCEPT I had to add the test.php file to the unused directory as well.

PHP files were on drive X:\Inetpub...

Doc Root was on C:\Inetpub... (default)

had to copy test.php to drive C: and create file mentioned in prior post.
