I'm sorry if someone wrote the same thing somewhere-I'm having troubles connecting on Oracle DB when it ain't on the same machine as PHP/Apache. I understood that it looks in tnsnames.ora for an alias, but here is what happens:
I'm trying to connect with "test, test, db", and in tnsnames is writen: db.world, tcp protocol, hermes.com port 1521... And php skips that, and it takes beq.world, trying to look for a database on my own machine, and it (of course), fails... What am I doing wrong.
