ldap and PHP

I am not sure what I need to do to enable my php to be able to execute LDAP functions.
Appreciate if someone can help to point out where to go from here.

I get the error below when I try to run
Fatal error: Call to unsupported or undefined function ldap_connect() in /home1/docs/apws/public_html/test.php3 on line

Check the following...

1) check your ext.ini file and make sure the ldap extension line is uncommented

2) make sure the ldap extension is present and in a directory where it can be executed (don't know what platform you're talking about here) - if you're talking win-nt then make sure it's in c:\winnt\system32 - you can find all of the nt extensions in the zip file - not the exe self-installer .
