MySQL+Apache configure got problem

Hi,
Anybody can help me. I use Win98se & plan to use Apache,
MySQL+php to dev web dbase using PC.

Apache & PhP - works well
MySQL work well under dos command.

Problem - How to link my Apache server in order MYSQL can be
functioned?

Here are my folder
Apache = C:\Program File\Apache Groups\apache
MySQL = C:\mysql

I've try to see in MySQL site & put as instructed (mysql+apache),
but cannot work!

Pls help me.

By the information you mentioned, you are ready to go. Only need is get used to PHP scripting, you can gain a lot to go through the online PHP4 documentation and tutorial on either http://www.php.net or http://www.zend.com.

Noted, one more..
if this correct to put in my php code base on my current "C:\" setting?

mysql_connect("local","passwd",dbase")

Pls advice.

The correct syntax is mysql_connect("localhost", "root", "")
If you haven't modified any default config setting, this should work ( Host: 'localhost', User: 'root', Password: '').
After that you should use mysql_select_db('databasename'). databasename is your database name.
