MySQL 3.23 on Win

Hi,

I've a weird problem installing MySQL 3.23 on a Win98 system.
The first time I installed it, I changed the privileges table in a wrong way and so I couldn't run MySQL anymore. I thought a reinstall would clean things up but it didn't even after several attempts.
Does someone have a clue?

Hi JMK

I had the same problem. I made sure that the MySQL database tables in C:\mysql\data\mysql were deleted from disk before uninstalling the MySQL binaries via Add/Remove Programs.

Installing it again after this solved the problem (for me anyway!!).
