php_ftp.dll

Hi DevPeople,
When I downloaded and installed PHP 4.0.4pl1 on my Win2000 machine it took me some time realising that the php_ftp.dll was missing.

First thing: I have searched the net for about 3 hours and at last I found this god damn file. Why does it not exist links from php.net to pages where you can find these extensions?!? :-(

Second thing: When I put the php_ftp.dll in my extension-dir and restarted my Apache I got the following ERROR-msg:

"ftp: Unable to initialize module

Module compiled with debug=0, thread-safety=1 module API=20000609

PHP compiled with debug=0, thread-safety=1 module API=20001214

These options need to match"

What the F*CK does this mean?!? I have been playing around with PHP for about two years now and am very pleased with it... BUT in the future it has to be easier to find and install extensions and/or modules.

My questions are:
Where (a working URL, please) can i find php_ftp.dll (a working one, please)?
If there are no working dlls, what do I need to do?

From my knowledge i thought fp functions where built in and did not requite a dll

If you download the php-4.0.4pl1-Win32 zip there is no php_ftp.dll this is why im guessing its built in.

do i need to do some tweaking in php.ini before it can work?

You don't need to download php_ftp if you are using PHP 4.0. It's built in :-) It took me some time figuring it out. I don´t think you need to tweak php.ini, but I can be wrong.
