Email server for Apache, Win2000, PHP?

Hi all,

Here is my system:
Win2000
Apache 1.3
Mysql
php4

I was wondering if anyone has been able to configure a mail server on that arrangement? This is a dev machine and I'd like to try out an few apps that require emailing registration info etc... Any advice (other than get a real os :-/) such as general direction would be great. Can it be done?

Hi MAbans & ryadex,
If insist on trying install email server, there is one used to be free SMTP Server for Win32 call Postcast http://www.postcast.com (latest 1.5, two weeks ago is shareware at present). It requires with local DNS server, I think! What type of connection you are using (i.e. are you connected through one ISP only).
If you want and can't find the free version(1.0) of Postcast, I'll forward the link so you can download from my backup FTP site.
