Hello, I downloaded the JavaWebServer 2.0, installed to the default directory, changed directories to the /BIN directory, launched httpd, it then basically scrolls through 2 help screens and places back at the prompt, and the end of the 1st help screen, it says "shutting down the server". I am not running or have any other environment variables set for another java server. Im trying to run it on a Windows 2000 server box with plenty of memory, the info file says it runs on Windows NT, I also tried installing it as a test on a Win98 box and the same thing happens. I am not very well versed in in this stuff but I did get TomCat running after some effort, the instructions claim no environment variables need be set if your going to use the jre that is included, which I am.
