GD: unistd.h missing in compile

hi,

When I try to compile GD in MSVC++ 6 I get an error saying that unistd.h (in gdft.c) can not be found. I have searched my system and have not got the file and have the other files necessary for GD. Where can I get this file from or solve the problem?
