GD problem

I have installed php4 on w2k Advance Server. i had copied the php_gd.dll file into the php folder but whenever i try any image scripts, i get undefined function errors. i have also uncommented the inlude line in php.ini file and defined extension_dir to the php folder where it reside. Whats really happen here ? Anybody

You shouldnt have to copy the DLL anywhere it should already be there, especially if you downloaded the right distribution.

Also in case you cannot read the manual, if you are using the GIF functions they will not working in the new version. (Due to the dumbness of the GIF people)

You should use the PNG or JPG functions.

i have got the php_gd_gif.dll from somewhere and rename it php_gd.dll then replace in php with the original php_gd.dll but i cannot connect to "localhost" this time ...or any other ways for gif format support in GD libray thanx..
