hello,

i'm running for the moment tomcat as a web server,
is there any possibility to run php scripts in this case, and what would be the way to configure the server to get the scripts running

I don't think so. Tomcat is for JSP/servlets. However, I think you also need apache to get it going.

No, Tomcat is one of those strange web servers that can either live on it's own or be incorporated under apache as a module / handler.

Once Tomcat apache are running, adding PHP is a snap.

But the real question is: Can you install PHP under only Tomcat? Once you have apache running it becomes obvious that PHP is easy to install. However, what if you're running only tomcat, can it be made into a package for it?

its possible,
you have to run php as a servlet.

see: ext/java/readme or something in the php distribution.

i havent managed to get this working my self however,
but than again it might work with the new php release (4.2.0)
