Preinstalled PHP on Red Hat 7.1

I installed Red Hat 7.1 recently with mysql, apache, and php. Php is already on there but what do I have to do to set it up to work with apache? I added the necessary lines to httpd.conf but I don't know what exactly red hat did when it installed php. Thanks in advance for your help.

I went so far as to download the source for 4.0.5 and compiled it after completely uninstalling and recompiling apache from source, but my php_info file still shows the installed 4.0.4pl1. I can't get rid of it, and what's worse is that no RPM for PHP shows up when I do a query! This thing just won't die!

Hey Brian, I figured it out. It turns out all you have to do is make some changes to your httpd.conf file. You'll have to check where exactly it's located on you system but that is the apache configuration file. In it there are a number of "if" blocks that will load modules if your system has them. Find the ones that reference php4 and remove the blocks so the modules get loaded. Then restart apache and everything, including mysql should work just fine.
