compiling php4.0.6 on SuSE Linux 7.0

Hi folks,
I'm trying to compile PHP 4.0.6 on a SuSE Linux 7.0, but configure just tells me:
Checking if c++ Compiler works: c++ (no)
and stops.
So, does anybody have an idea what this means. (I have installed much more before, and never have I got such an error...)

Sooo, it just turned out that it was the --with-qtdom feature that messed everything up. Without it, everything is just fine.
